Through a sophisticated camera on the Cyl module, it is possible to use important software to monitor the city and ensure greater safety and liveability for citizens.

The applications of Cyl Video Software are:
FloodCAM
Video analysis to detect dangerous accumulations of water on the road in real time: this is regardless of whether the floods are due to the effects of heavy rains or river overflows.
FloodCAM is powered by cutting-edge machine vision and machine learning technologies and has been optimised to process large quantities of images in a short space of time.
FloodCAM is able to detect flooded areas in both urban and suburban settings, and transmits valuable alerts for traffic regulation or targeted intervention.
SnowCAM
Video analysis to detect snow cover on the road, pavement and in other areas in real time.
SnowCAM allows the transmission of alerts for emergency interventions or the planning of road cleaning.
WeatherCAM
It pre-processes the images and calculates the raw weather data and, thanks to a module, stores and combines the data into useful outputs, such as weather maps, weather notifications, etc.
AI Parking
It is the video analysis app that can automatically detect the occupancy status of a parking space, thus identifying whether it is free or occupied.
Thanks to the use of advanced algorithms based on deep neural networks, AI Parking can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments, and requires that the vehicle is only partially visible within the parking space.
AI Parking also provides statistical information that is useful for parking management, such as the average occupancy time of a car park, the occupancy status of a single place, an area (i.e. an aggregation of places) or of an entire car park.
The data can be processed and transmitted to the parking manager and integrated into the payment system.

AI Smart City
Applications

  • It counts and classifies vehicles that pass through a virtual sensor in a certain direction. There are three classes of vehicles detected: motorcycles, cars and trucks.
  • It is used to estimate the colour and average speed of vehicles, generating an alarm where this speed is higher than a configurable threshold, to determine in real time the density of traffic and to monitor vehicle flows through the origin-destination matrix.
  • It makes it possible to detect, in real time, dangerous behaviour or abnormal situations on the road, such as overturned or stopped vehicles, reversing, pedestrians present in prohibited areas, or queues.
  • It can be used to perform advanced analyses of people's behaviour both indoors and outdoors. The solution is designed to estimate the number of people present within one or more areas of interest and to count the number of people crossing a virtual line. It is also possible to generate an alarm in case of situations of overcrowding, gatherings of people, vagrancy or the excessive presence of people in a specific area.
  • It is the tool for public administrations that decide to take advantage of artificial intelligence to enhance the functionality of their systems, also through the use of existing video surveillance cameras. The solution can in fact be used to detect abnormal behaviour, such as people remaining within an area for too long (loitering) or people standing still (for example for the detection of vandalism, such as graffiti). It can also be a valuable support to the management of regulations due to the pandemic as it is able to identify potential dangerous solutions such as gatherings or situations in which social distances are not being respected.
  • Finally, it can be used to meet the needs of green energy, thanks to the possibility of customising and automatically regularising the light intensity of street lamps along roads. For example, at night, we can impose low brightness where there are no people and maximum intensity where people are transiting. A similar application can also be adopted within public offices in order to implement the switching on and off of lighting or ventilation systems.
